Hayley Labrecque, LPC
I believe that children and adolescents have the capability to face adverse challenges with resilience. As a Certified School Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring forth a unique skill set to address a wide range of social-emotional challenges. This includes specialties in anxiety, depression, social skills, daily stressors, and life transitions. My approach emphasizes the importance of recognizing emotions, developing effective coping skills, and building an empathetic, trusting relationship with clients to support their success. To empower clients in clinical success, I use a variety of evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, bibliotherapy, social skills curriculums, mindfulness, a strengths based approach, and motivational interviewing. In addition to these interventions, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a critical factor to success. I strive to recognize and meet each individual where they are at in this process.
My experience has provided me with the skill set to work with children and adolescents throughout their education. I am knowledgeable and experienced with psycho-educational assessments which has allowed me to be an advocate for children within the 504 and PPT process. I have recognized the increase in social-emotional challenges and environmental stress factors over the past few years. I believe in an authentic counseling relationship that can provide a safe, positive environment to allow clients to enhance their abilities to manage emotions and implement adaptive coping strategies. I look forward to working with you to strengthen these skills along with a growth mindset.
