I believe that we all have innate resources that can help us to heal and move toward healthier and more fulfilling lives. I feel honored to guide clients through their journey of self-discovery and assist them in identifying and developing their strengths. I work with clients to co-create a space where they can feel free to explore their thoughts, feelings, and actions with nonjudgmental curiosity. My role as a therapist is to not only help clients address any current challenges but to also collaborate with them on building lives in which they feel connected, joyful, and worthy.
I enjoy working with all ages and have extensive experience with children and adolescents. I offer individual and family therapy for trauma, major life transitions, grief, anxiety, and depression. My counseling approach is grounded in attachment theory, and I seek to provide a relationship for clients in which they feel seen and heard. I integrate CBT and mindfulness skills and collaborate with clients on how I can best support them in our work together.
Dr. Hopkins is a licensed clinical psychologist. She attended Smith College for her undergraduate education and received her masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Antioch University New England. She has worked in outpatient clinics and both public and therapeutic schools providing counseling, clinical supervision and training, consultation, and psychological assessments. She has experience in early childhood mental health and play therapy and enjoys supporting parents in strengthening their relationship with their children and adolescents.
