I’m an art therapist committed to helping people learn how to build healthier relationships with themselves. My work focuses on creating a safe space for my clients to explore all parts and aspects of themselves. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach and maintain their goals. I utilize a mindfulness approach with the majority of my clinical practices because I believe in the transformational powers of living a more mindful life. I can assist clients who wish to experience a more grounded, peaceful, and joyful existence.

I chose to become an art therapist because I truly believe in the healing power of creating art, exploring images, and looking deeply into the canvas mirror. Creating art allows us a space to explore difficult emotions and feelings, process, and release them. Art therapy is about letting go of judgement, allowing yourself to be present in the moment, and using creative energy to heal emotional wounds. I believe the key components to the therapeutic alliance are compassion, empathy, and humor.

I’m passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community and providing a safe, compassionate, and expressive space for all folks, where ever they find themselves on their journey. I specialize working with adults with complex trauma and finding ways to heal the internal wounds that bind. I have experiences with working with individuals with all different behavioral health concerns and struggles. I believe the path to wellness is about caring for all parts of ourselves, even the parts we are afraid of. In granting space for the things we hide from only then can we truly allow healing and growth to flourish. I look forward to helping you find your most authentic path in life.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.  —Maya Angelou
