I believe taking care of ourselves is of vital importance to live our lives as fully as possible. Therapy is a safe place to connect, share and recognize your needs as well as to gather new tools for coping, healing and growth. It is an honor for me to assist others on their healing journey.
I work with young adults, college and graduate students and adults, to explore and address struggles such as eating disorders, food, weight and body image issues, anxiety, self-esteem, stress management, transition periods, grief and career counseling. I utilize a Health At Every Size approach in eating disorder treatment to help clients in developing a positive relationship with food and their bodies. Through my own experience as both a performing artist and an NCAA College Athlete & Coach I may also be a good fit for someone who is an artist or athlete struggling with any of the above concerns. I offer initial assessments, individual counseling, group counseling and family educational therapy.
My counseling approach is a combination of evidence-based mindfulness and CBT, body-focused psychotherapy, creative expressive therapy, somatic therapy and narrative therapy. Every client is unique, and I aim to incorporate the best mix of these treatment modalities tailored to your specific needs. If additional clinical providers are involved, I will collaborate with them to provide you with the most comprehensive care possible. My goal is to meet you where you’re at, help you recognize your strengths, bring you greater insight and provide you with the coping skills and tools to reach your goals.
I am licensed to work with clients in both Connecticut and Florida.
