Katya believes that meaningful change occurs when people feel safe, seen, and supported. She strives to create a therapeutic environment grounded in compassion, authenticity, and curiosity while using evidence based techniques. Katya specializes in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, family conflict and grief.
She has experience supporting clients navigating complex trauma, attachment wounds, co-parenting concerns, infidelity, intimate partner conflict, and stress related to major life changes. Her work is informed by a deep understanding of how past experiences, relationships, and nervous system responses shape current emotional and relational patterns.
Drawing from a systemic and attachment-based perspective, Katya helps clients explore the connections between their personal experiences, relationships, and broader life contexts. She integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic interventions, and mindfulness practices. Her approach recognizes that healing involves both the mind and body, helping clients build awareness, regulate emotions, and reconnect or rebuild their innate strengths and capacity. Prior to and alongside her clinical training,
Katya spent years teaching yoga, mindfulness, and wellness practices, an experience that continues to inform her holistic approach to therapy. She incorporates body awareness and nervous system regulation when appropriate, helping clients develop practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Katya has provided therapy in both community-based and healthcare settings, including her work with veterans, couples, families, and youth from diverse cultural backgrounds.
She values cultural humility and is committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space where clients feel respected and empowered. Whether clients are seeking relief from emotional distress, healing from trauma, improving communication, or building more secure and fulfilling relationships, Katya collaborates to identify meaningful goals and foster lasting change. Her warm, down-to-earth, and relational style helps clients feel supported as they navigate challenges and move toward greater connection, balance, and well-being.
