I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about working with adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of mental health conditions that often limit living life to the fullest. I strongly believe that in order to properly heal, we must get to know ourselves on a deeper level and learn to appreciate the chaos that we have faced in our lives and accept the raw emotions that often accompany those moments. Through the use of insight and compassion, my focus is to collaborate with my clients to increase self awareness, challenge old patterns, and reduce problematic thinking, emotional difficulties, and maladaptive behaviors.
As an LCSW, I place a strong emphasis on creating an open, nonjudgmental, and honest client-therapist relationship centered on trust and mutual understanding. I specialize in treating individuals who are seeking assistance in navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, family conflict, poor self esteem, establishing boundaries, communication issues, and problematic thinking.
More importantly, my treatment approach is integrative and intuitive as I find it essential to view the person as a whole when developing treatment goals. This means that when getting to know you, I will consider each person’s mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health in a unified way. I often incorporate interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, meditation, breath work, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, self care strategies, and adaptive coping skills.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University and received a Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern California with a concentration in Adult Mental Health and Wellness. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have experience working with children and adolescents in crisis and have worked closely with parents to help their teens stabilize after hospitalization.
