As a therapist, I strive to create supportive spaces where you can feel seen and heard, discussing socially “unmentionable” topics, such as sex and sexuality, neurodivergence, money, grief and loss. I enjoy working with clients who want to explore their own values and beliefs, and I prioritize a person-centered approach. This means that your personal goals drive our work together, and I see my role as a trusted professional to provide thoughtful questions, new approaches, and ideas for you to consider and try along your journey to greater wellness and self-esteem. After graduating from Trinity College with bachelors degrees in Human Rights Studies and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Nicolette began a career working in social justice-oriented non-profits, before completing Widener University’s dual-degree, clinical sex therapy tract. Nicolette has a Master of Social Work and a Master of Education- Human Sexuality from Widener University, where she received training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, and Systematic Sex Therapy. Nicolette is currently a member of AASECT.
Nicolette is knowledgeable about various areas of erotic marginalization, including working with ethically non-monogamous clients and their partners, clients questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation, kinky clients, and consent violations. Nicolette has experience working with families and individuals in substance abuse and recovery, as well as in grief and loss. Nicolette tailors therapy to each client, using a variety of modalities including narrative therapy, and strengths-based approaches such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Nicolette utilizes systematic and somatic approaches to sex therapy.
