Hello there. My name is Matthew. Like many of you, I know the difficulties and anxieties of even exploring the idea of seeing a therapist, let alone sitting in an office with one for the first time. Entering therapy and working to address, understand and heal your anxieties, emotions, and trauma is some of the hardest work you’ve ever needed to do. I am honored that you are considering me to work with you at this time. I hope that in working together you are able to learn more from all of the different parts of yourself, and that along the way, you can grow to discover things about who you are that you never knew and appreciated before. I am trained in various counseling practices, including internal family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to name a few. I am trained in various mindfulness based practices as well, which can be helpful in managing stress and anxiety, as well as helping to bring you back to appreciating the present moment.
