At one time or another, we have all found ourselves struggling to cope with what life has thrown at us. Old wounds resurface, our go-to coping skills no longer work; we feel stuck, lost, and unsure of what direction to take. Perhaps you’re experiencing a major transition, facing difficulties in your relationship, struggling with substance use, or finally feeling ready to process something from your past. Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you are looking to continue the internal work you have been doing for years, I am here to help guide you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery. Reaching out for help is the hardest step to take and I applaud you for taking it!
I take a client-centered and strengths-based approach, working with you to identify your goals and create an individualized treatment plan that meets you where you’re at. I operate from a person-centered theoretical approach, but draw on elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing as well. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. I have a background working with a diverse client population at both the outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care, and am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.
